Welcome to our school.
Woodland envisions producing students who are educated, cultured, and experienced in reasoning critically, while contributing as a productive member of our school and community. This will be accomplished by providing cooperative and meaningful learning opportunities, among a diverse community, where each child is challenged to reach their maximum competency as a lifelong learner.

Dear Woodland Families:
We hope you are enjoying this beautiful, summer season with your precious little ones. It is hard to believe that school time is just around the corner. With that shared, we know that each new school year provides an exciting time for learning and fun-filled opportunities. Team Woodland continues to Soar with Excellence, and we appreciate all that you do to support our very special learning community.
In preparation for the upcoming school year, we have just a few details to share with you at this time.
* We certainly hope to see each of you at our Open House on Monday, August 3, 2015. It is always a joy to connect with you – and especially as our new academic year begins.
* We have one minor adjustment in regard to our Grades K – 2 afternoon car line. Our grade 3 students who are afternoon car riders will now be positioned in the front circle car line (instead of being positioned at the EduCare entrance). This should provide a better flow of traffic and supervision during afternoon dismissal each day.
* Students who are car riders in grade 4 will continue to be positioned at the EduCare door each afternoon. However, if a grade 4 student has a younger K-3 sibling, the grade 4 student is welcome to join us in the front circle drive each afternoon. Please remember to be very careful when exiting from our main driveways by stopping at the stop signs as positioned within each driving area of our campus.
One closing detail to share with you: we have a new guest check-in system. Parents, guardians, and all guests will need to check-in through our main office with our school secretary, Mrs. Kathy Berry during the initial visit to our school. A driver’s license or government issued ID will be needed. Once registered, guests will be able to check-in through our satellite computers via an individual login. One of those satellite computers is located in the main office and one is located at our EduCare entrance.
In short, all guests must check-in through our computer system before visiting classrooms during the school day. A visitor’s photo ID badge will be printed for each guest. This is a new safety procedure that is being implemented within all Johnson City Schools.
I would encourage each of you to stop by the main office as you are out and about before school starts to check-in with Mrs. Berry. She will complete the necessary computerized check-in process for you. Please remember to bring your driver’s license or government issued ID in order to complete this new process.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out through phone or email should you have questions or concerns: email@example.com or 434.5267. We look forward to seeing you soon!

New Visitor Management Software
The safety of all students is our number one priority at Johnson City Schools. In an ongoing effort to improve safety, we are implementing district-wide check in and check out procedures at each school location. These procedures will help us keep track of who is in our buildings at all times.
